By Stuart Hedstrom, Piscataquis Observer

DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — Tractor Supply Co., the largest retail farm and ranch supply store chain in the country, has opened its newest location in Dover-Foxcroft.

“On behalf of the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce, we welcome Tractor Supply to the community,” Executive Director Deb Boyd said at the grand opening on Dec. 3.

“We’re very excited to be part of the community,” said Ron Ingalls, manager of the new store on West Main Street. “We hope you are all satisfied with our customer service and merchandise.”

The store, Tractor Supply’s 13th in Maine, has 13 full- and part-time employees.

“Dover-Foxcroft is a great place for a Tractor Supply store because it’s in an agricultural area, and our products fit the lifestyle of the community,” Ingalls said.

The new facility has 20,245 square feet, including sales floor and support service space. A fenced exterior space offers a display area for fencing, sprayers and livestock equipment. Regular operating hours for the store, located in the former Save-A-Lot space at 1073 West Main St., Suite 1, are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Tractor Supply has more than 1,000 stores in 44 states.
