ENFIELD, Maine — A Lincoln man described as a transient was arrested late last week in connection with a residential burglary in which jewelry and coins were taken.

Peter Ryan Coggins, 22, allegedly committed the theft during daylight hours when the homeowners were away, Deputy Patricia McLaughlin said Thursday.

Coggins was arrested last Friday on charges of burglary and theft, both of them felony charges because the dollar value of the stolen items was at least $1,000, McLaughlin said.

Some of the coins and one necklace have been recovered, she said.
