CAMDEN, Maine — Police here are looking for a woman who robbed the local Rite Aid on Wednesday.

The woman entered the store and handed pharmacists a note demanding drugs around 12:30 p.m., according to Camden Police Chief Randy Gagne.

“She made a threat that she had a weapon with her. No weapon was displayed,” Gagne said. No one was injured, but “she made off with an undisclosed amount of drugs.”

The woman is in her teens or early 20s and is about 5-foot-5 and 110 pounds. She was wearing dark pants, a dark Adidas sweatshirt and a green baseball cap.

No other information was available Wednesday. The case is under investigation.

Anyone with information can call Knox County dispatchers at 593-5656 at night or Camden police at 236-7593 during business hours.

Coincidentally, a man who robbed the same Rite Aid in August was sentenced Wednesday to serve four years in jail.

“It’s getting to be a normal thing for some reason,” Gagne said.
