Outlook: The Black Bears, making their Memorial Gym debut, will attempt to win two games in a row for the first time since Jan. 21 and Jan. 28, 2010. UMaine should match up well physically with a Bryant squad that also is youthful, small and guard-oriented. This contest may well come down to which team takes care of the ball more effectively against the other’s ball pressure. The Bulldogs are averaging 25 turnovers, while the Bears check in at 19.5 per game. UMaine may be able to take advantage of Wellington and 6-foot-2-inch Sam Baranowski’s height in the paint, but attacking the basket, getting to the foul line and making the free throws also will be important dynamics.
