Santa continued his annual early November tradition of windsurfing on the Penobscot River in downtown Bangor Sunday afternoon, Nov. 6, 2011. This year he had a little backup from his helpers on a wave runner: Rhonda Hess of Bangor and Linda Mitchell-Storer of Orrington. With little wind to propel him, the current took him about a half mile downstream before he pulled his craft ashore and returned to the North Pole. printed on March 30, 2017
