UNITY, Maine — A local man was arrested and charged last week in connection with a reported domestic violence assault, according to the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.

Devin Trull, 19, of Pleasant Hill Drive, came to the attention of police on Wednesday, Oct. 19, when his girlfriend called to tell them that he allegedly had assaulted her by whipping her across the leg with an electrical cord and also had spit in her face, according to Lt. Jason Trundy. She told police that Trull had left the home and that she had locked the doors after him.

But when officers responded to the residence, they found Trull had just forced his way back into the home through a window, Trundy said.

Police arrested him and charged him with burglary and domestic violence assault. He was taken to Waldo County Jail to be booked.
