BREWER, Maine — An Albion man was stopped early Sunday for having mismatched dates on his registration plate and when Brewer police Officer Liz Kelley approached the driver’s door, he admitted he was wanted.

“He told me he had a warrant and didn’t have a license,” she said Sunday.

David Lizotte, 32, who had an outstanding warrant for unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, was arrested for the warrant and also charged with sale and use of drug paraphernalia and operating after suspension, Kelley said.

He was taken to Penobscot County Jail in Bangor and remained there Sunday night, a jail official said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
