WINDHAM, Maine — A Windham town councilor who also operates a construction company is dead of an apparent suicide, according to police.

Police told the Press Herald that Peter Busque, 50, died Wednesday, and his body was discovered after authorities responded to a call to the Busque quarry on Nash Road at about 6 p.m.

No signs of physical trauma were found, and toxicology results are pending.

According to his company’s website, Busque is originally from Moosehead Lake area and lived on Little Sebago Lake.

He leaves behind a wife and four children.
