By Abigail Curtis, BDN Staff

SEARSPORT, Maine — Champion Paralympic athlete Chris Waddell will present the documentary “One Revolution” about his 2009 ascent of 19,340-foot Mount Kilamanjaro at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13 at Searsport District High School.

The film chronicles the first time a paraplegic athlete climbed the mountain without assistance.

Waddell, who was inducted last year into the Paralympic Hall of Fame and the US Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame, was paralyzed in a 1988 skiing accident. He is the most decorated male skier in Paralympic history.

The screening is free and open to the public, although donations for Waddell’s One Revolution foundation are welcome.

For more information, contact the school at 548-2813.
