SKOWHEGAN, Maine — A Maine piano teacher has been ordered to serve 90 days in jail after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a teenage boy who was one of her students.
The Morning Sentinel says 23-year-old Angel Crowley, of Clinton, began serving her sentence Wednesday at Somerset County Jail in East Madison.
Court documents indicate the victim was 14 or 15 when the abuse happened in Fairfield between Jan. 1, 2010, and Feb. 28, 2010. Under a plea agreement, Crowley pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of a minor and prosecutors dropped a felony charge of gross sexual assault.
Fairfield Police Chief John Emery said Crowley was also a substitute teacher for the Lawrence High School band. The newspaper says there’s no indication in court papers where the abuse occurred.
