CAMDEN — Presentation on orchids by Robert Cleveland, who has been growing orchids in his home for over 30 years and has operated his own small orchid business, raising hybrids from seed. ELLSWORTH — Moss Gardens in Small Containers, 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Woodlawn Museum, Gardens and Parks hosted by Woodlawn in collaboration with The University of Maine Cooperative Extension. Led by Master Gardener volunteer Claire Daniel, participants will learn how to create a moss container garden. If you wish to make a garden, bring a small ceramic container. ELLSWORTH — Yoga for gardeners, 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Woodlawn Museum, Gardens and Parks hosted by Woodlawn in collaboration with The University of Maine Cooperative Extension. Led by Master Gardener volunteer and yoga instructor Martina Haines, participants will learn how to open their body and mind to enjoy the beauty of the garden more fully. SOUTH PARIS — McLaughlin Garden 2011 annual auction “Where There is Magic in the Air,” 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at McLaughlin Garden. Advance tickets required, $35 per person.
