FORT KENT, Maine — Gov. Paul LePage is in Aroostook County today where he spent about an hour on the University of Maine at Fork Kent campus meeting incoming students and their parents.
The governor also met with 20 Fort Kent Community High School juniors participating in UMFK’s early college high school experience. LePage then had a closed-door meeting with UMFK President Wilson Hess.
“I hope you will succeed. It will do two things. It will help put the Valley back on the map, and if you succeed, we can bring this program to the rest of the state,” LePage said.
LePage will be in Presque Isle for a Capitol for a Day event later today.
