Scholarships available to help K-8 educators get recertified

BANGOR, Maine — A new scholarship from Eastern Maine Community College will provide free tuition and fees to educators who need credits toward recertification, according to Liz Russell, associate dean of enrollment management and director of admissions.

The program’s aim is to help K-8 educators earn recertification credits by paying tuition and fees for one course in full for the semester beginning Aug. 29.

The college is offering 25 scholarships in the programs first semester, Russell said.
