ROCKPORT, Maine — Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s Aldermere Farm will hold its Art Show and Sale 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, in the historic farmhouse located on the Aldermere Farm property at 20 Russell Ave. The yearly event will highlight how local artists depict the Belted Galloway cattle and different pastoral vistas of the farm in paintings and prints. The event will benefit the farm and its programs, as well as local artists.

The paintings and prints will be on display and for sale throughout the day. The show also will have Maine coastal scene paintings in the mix, to honor the work that Maine Coast Heritage Trust puts into preserving properties along the coast.

The public is invited to the free event. More than 300 pieces of artwork will be on display from more than 40 local artists. Also available during the event will be numerous Belted Galloway items from T-shirts and hats to magnets and stuffed-animal Belties. Beltie beef will be available for purchase that day as well.
