BANGOR, Maine — A man from Texas was arrested Monday night after he repeatedly called 911 to get a taxicab, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Tuesday.
Anthony “Tony” Calhoun, 43, kept calling 911 for a cab, the sergeant said. “He was warned to stop, and after being warned he just kept doing it.”
Calhoun was arrested about 9:15 p.m. by Officer Jamie Fanning and charged with misuse of emergency 911 and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs. He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and remained there Tuesday afternoon, a jail official said.
