SANGERVILLE, Maine — A special selectmen’s meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the Sangerville Fire Station, to discuss damage that occurred two weeks ago to one of the town’s firetrucks.

Recreation programming on Dover-Foxcroft agenda

DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — The Dover-Foxcroft Board of Selectmen will hold a public meeting on recreation programming at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Center Theater in Dover-Foxcroft.

This meeting will provide an opportunity for the Board of Selectmen to discuss town recreation and specifically Youth Sports over the coming year.

Any member of the public interested in recreation programming in Dover-Foxcroft is encouraged to attend this meeting.

Penobscot Nation to hold golf fundraiser

BANGOR, Maine — The Penobscot Nation Boys & Girls Club is planning its fifth annual Putt for the Club Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 13, at Hermon Meadow Golf Club, 281 Billing Road in Bangor.

Reunion on tap at Penquis Valley High School

MILO, Maine — The Penquis Valley Alumni Association will sponsor the second annual Penquis Valley Alumni Reunion at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Penquis Valley High School, 37 West Main St. in Milo. The reunion is open to anyone who attended Penquis Valley High School or worked for the school.

The high school open house will begin at 10 a.m. with the alumni association business meeting at 11 a.m. The alumni will offer a free afternoon concert at 1 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park followed by an evening Bruce Springsteen tribute band concert at 8 p.m., at the Junction.
