Johnson said that 28-year-old Daniel Davenport of Westfield was making a right-hand turn out of the parking lot of the Star City IGA onto Main Street when he struck the girl, who was riding her bicycle down Main Street. Davenport was driving a 2003 Dodge pickup.

She was taken by Crown Ambulance to The Aroostook Medical Center and then to Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Her identity and information about her condition were not released. Police did not say if she was wearing a helmet.
