BANGOR, Maine — Foreclosure rates in the city have increased for the month of April over the same period last year, according to newly released data from CoreLogic, a provider of financial, property and consumer information and analytics.
The rate of foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans in Bangor is 4.7 percent for the month of April 2011, an increase of 1.6 percentage points compared to April 2010 when the rate was 3.1 percent. Foreclosure activity in Bangor is higher than the national foreclosure rate of 3.47 percent for April 2011.
Also in Bangor, the mortgage delinquency rate has increased. According to data for April 2011, 7.3 percent of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent compared to 6.8 percent for the same period last year, representing an increase of 0.5 percentage points.
