BANGOR, Maine — Bangor Parks and Recreation Summer Day Camp registration is now open for the camp running 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 27-Aug. 19. LINCOLN, Maine — The Maine Land Use Regulation Commission will hold a public hearing on the Bowers Wind Power Project at 6 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, June 27-28, at Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln. The staff presentation and petitioner-intervenor testimony will be held June 28 in Lincoln and will continue Wednesday, July 6, at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor. The purpose of the hearing is to allow the applicant and the public the opportunity to present testimony as to whether wind development application meets the criteria for approval. Glad Tidings Church to host kids’ week

Kids will explore a bamboo forest filled with pandas as they discover that God loves us. They will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into treats, experience electrifying Bible adventures and create Bible Point crafts they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through God Sightings. Each day concludes with a Rowdy Wrap-Up — a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.
