BERWICK, Maine — Authorities say a New Hampshire man nabbed here Tuesday with more than 200 Oxycodone tablets and $18,000 in cash has been charged with aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs, a Class A felony.

Jack Haycock, 39, of Rochester, N.H., was apprehended by Maine Drug Enforcement Agency agents in Berwick after they learned Haycock would be meeting a prospective buyer there to sell Oxycodone, police say.

Agents and Berwick police took Haycock into custody as he arrived at the site of the proposed sale.

The oxycodone tablets and cash were seized from Haycock after he was taken into custody. The street value of the drugs was more than $6,000, according to police.

Because of a prior felony drug conviction in New Hampshire, Haycock was charged with the Class A felony in Maine.

Bail was set at $25,000 cash and Haycock has a pending court date in York County Superior Court on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Anyone with information on drug traffickers operating in their area is urged to contact the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency in York at 207-459-1373.
