Kittery firewood exchange to keep out invasive insects


AUGUSTA, Maine — The Maine Forest Service will hold an out-of-state firewood exchange Thursday and Friday, May 26-27, at the northbound Kittery rest area on I-95. The event is to help prevent the importation of dangerous invasive insects to Maine’s forest and to make Maine visitors and residents aware of the problem. NMMC site of entrepreneur award ceremony, dinner

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Momentum Aroostook and LEADers Encouraging Aroostook Development will host the entrepreneur of the year award ceremony with a wine-tasting and dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at the Edmunds Conference Center at Northern Maine Community College. Texas scramble set at Caribou Country Club
