Orrington ATV rider charged with OUI, failure to stop for police

By Dawn Gagnon, BDN Staff

ORRINGTON, Maine — An Orrington man was arrested last week after he reportedly drove around his neighborhood yelling obscenities while intoxicated.

Nicholas Goulet, 30, who was arrested May 9, now faces charges of operating an ATV while under the influence and failure to stop for police, according to an arrest summary issued Wednesday by Penobscot County Jail.

Goulet’s arrest by Sgt. Jon Carson of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department came after several attempts to locate the suspect, who reportedly had been traveling to and from his residence on Fairwind Drive that morning, Deputy Chad Young said Wednesday evening.
