Honor parts, Class of 2011

Principal Regina Campbell has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2011. Graduation will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 28, in the Carrabec High School Gymnasium.

Ashia Jepson, daughter of Kim Davis of Anson, has been named valedictorian of her class. She will attend Thomas College in Waterville to study psychology.

With a grade point average of 96.346, she completed several AP, college dual enrollment and honors-level courses, including being a member of the UMF Upward Bound Program. She was chosen as senior student of the month for CHS and received the 21st Century Scholar’s Certificate and the Ancient World Studies Highest Achievement Award. Jepson was involved in dinner theater, dance team, drama club and prom committee. She also was a participant in Dirigo Girls State and was treasurer for her class.

 

Rebecca Sue Ellis, daughter of Edward and Priscilla Ellis of North Anson, has been named salutatorian for her class. She will attend the University of Maine in Orono.

She has a GPA of 94.84 and completed several college dual enrollment and honors courses. Ellis was chosen as student of the month at CHS and received the 2011 Maine Principal’s Award. She is an honor roll student, a member of the National Honor Society and president of the student council. She is a three-sport athlete and volunteers extensively with her church.
