By The Times Record, Brunswick

BRUNSWICK, Maine — Police have charged a Brunswick man with endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly left his 5-year-old daughter home alone one night with loaded weapons in the home.

Steven Osborne, 44, was arrested in Lewiston on a charge of operating while under the influence on the evening of March 19, according to Brunswick police Cmdr. Marc Hagan.

Brunswick police arrived at Osborne’s home on Guadalcanal Drive at 1:09 a.m. the next day and discovered his young daughter asleep, Hagan said. She allegedly told police she didn’t know where her father was.

Officers allegedly confiscated two loaded handguns from the residence.
