HAMPDEN, Maine — Firefighters from Hampden and Hermon were called out Thursday night to put out a structure fire on Hermon Pond.

The fire at 103 Fowlers Landing Road, which damaged both levels of a two-story wood-frame building, was reported about 9:30 p.m. Crews from Hampden, Hermon and Newburgh were still at the scene late Thursday, a dispatcher with the Penobscot Regional Communications Center confirmed.

Firefighters had the fire under control within about 15 minutes of their arrival. Everyone inside the home escaped safely.
