AUGUSTA, Maine — Maine has a new director of the state Office of Tourism.
Carolann Ouellette most recently served as deputy director at the Office of Tourism. She also served as international marketing manager and had oversight of other programs in the agency.
Ouellette owned the Moose Point Tavern in Jackman. She also was manager at New England Outdoor Center in Millinocket and inn manager at the Sugarloaf Inn.
Commissioner Philip Congdon of the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development announced Ouellette’s appointment Wednesday. Congdon says her proven track record and knowledge of destination marketing makes her the right choice for the director’s job.
The tourism office also is responsible for the Maine Film Office.
