DEA makes third arrest in Houlton meth probe

BANGOR, Maine — Maine Drug Enforcement Agency agents and Bangor police arrested a suspect linked to a Houlton methamphetamine operation late Wednesday afternoon and charged him with trafficking in methamphetamine, according to a MDEA press release.

Kenneth Moore, 33, reportedly had been staying at a home on First Street in Houlton, which was one of the locations raided by the MDEA lab team on Nov. 15. Moore is accused of making methamphetamine at that location as well as at another location on Foxcroft Road in Houlton, according to the release.

Moore was taken into custody without incident, and MDEA agents took him from Bangor to the Aroostook County Jail.

Moore’s arrest was the third made so far in the investigation. Melissa Tidd, 28, of Houlton and Kenneth Williams, 41, of Lakeland, Fla., were arrested late last week and also are charged with trafficking in methamphetamine.

Agents said they anticipate additional arrests.
