OLD TOWN – Eva B. Gregory, 96, loving wife of the late Donald Gregory, died Oct. 29, 2010, with her family by her side at her home. Eva was born Feb. 10, 1914, in Caribou, one of 12 children to Levie and Mary (Squirrell) Bell. Eva raised 13 children of her own. She never forgot her children, raising each to be kind, considerate and hard working, as she was. Much later, after her children were on their own, she had time to make friends, became more outgoing and joined the Senior Citizen Group. Eva really enjoyed her friends and lunches, getting up early to make sure the house was cleaned and she was ready for the days adventure. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children. Eva thanks her family for always being there for her, no mom could be more proud, and thanks to all her church friends. She will ask the Lord to watch over each and everyone, with all my love, your mom, grammy, great-grammy, great-great-grammy, sister, aunt and friend. Eva was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald, in 1981; her daughter, Marlene Treadwell and granddaughter, Paula Treadwell, as the result of a car accident in 1976; a son, Paul Levesque, from a woods accident in 1981; a son, Perley Levesque, due to cancer; a daughter-in-law, Sara Levesque; and a son-in-law, Romaine Shorette. She is survived by her sons, Vaughn Levesque and his wife, Lucienne, of Florida, Donald Levesque of Florida, Joseph Levesque and his wife, Beth, of Connecticut, and Richard Levesque and his wife, Sandy, of New Hampshire; her daughters, Lorraine Caron and her husband, Oda, of New Hampshire, Rita Currier of Old Town, Margaret Shorette of Orono, Carmella LeRiche and her husband, Bert, of Hampden, Judy Robinson and her husband, Jim, of New Hampshire, and Gertrude Cicero and her friend, Ed Flores, of Connecticut; a daughter-in-law, Paula Levesque of Bangor; 27 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Brookings-Smith, LaBeau Chapel, 72 Main St., Orono. The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord, Holy Family Church, 429 Main St., Old Town, with Father Bill Labbe, presiding. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Orono. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the parish center after the interment.
