A campus security officer at Husson University faces drug charges after a Bangor police officer reportedly saw marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her briefcase.
Officer Mike Brennan, who serves as the Police Department’s liaison to Husson, was visiting the campus security office about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when he saw an unattended black briefcase on a desk, Lt. Tom Reagan said Wednesday, citing a police report.
When Brennan opened the briefcase to see whom it belonged to, he found a plastic bag containing “a couple of joints’ worth” of pot as well as a few pipes and a grinder inside, Reagan said. After determining that the briefcase belonged to Kimberly Bailey, 29, of Bangor, Brennan charged her with possession of a usable amount of marijuana and sale or use of drug paraphernalia.
