McIntyre sparks Panthers

    FORT FAIRFIELD — Vicki McIntyre scored two goals, including the winning goal 15:02 into the second half, to lead the Central Aroostook Panthers to a 3-2 schoolgirl soccer victory over the Fort Fairfield Tigers Wednesday.

Brea York tallied a goal in the first half for the Panthers while McIntyre also collected an assist. Paige Garrison made 10 saves on 23 shots.

Logan Bubar netted a goal for Fort Fairfield off an assist from Kaitlyn Kinsey. Katy Donovan stopped six of 11 shots.

    Washburn 5, Easton 1

At Washburn, Sara Sjoberg and Carson Koch netted two goals apiece in the second half to lead Washburn by Easton.

Nicole Olson scored a goal for the Beavers in the first half. Carmen Bragg posted two assists while Lindsay Blackstone had one. Rayah Saucier stopped 12 of 13 shots.

Carla Halvorson scored an unassisted goal for Easton in the first half. Haley Ambrose made 15 saves on 21 shots.
   Boys soccer

    Washburn 3, Easton 2

At Washburn, Jordan McLaughlin notched all three goals to propel Washburn by Easton.

Mitchell Worcester grabbed two assists for the Beavers while Chris Farley tallied one. Zach Davis made six saves on nine shots.

Holden Turner netted two unassisted goals for Easton in the first half. Cody Tompkins stopped 18 of 21 shots.

    Fort Kent 3, Van Buren 0

At Fort Kent, Jared Soucy netted a goal and grabbed an assist as Fort Kent shut out Van Buren.

Cody Lozier and Thomas Levesque each added a goal for the Warriors. Alex Charette stopped two of three shots.

Marc Lajoie made 12 saves on 35 shots for Van Buren.

    CAHS 3, Fort Fairfield 1

At Fort Fairfield, Central Aroostook of Mars Hill notched three goals in the second half en route to the victory over Van Buren.

Dan Brewer, Tyler Rusby and Spencer Stetson each scored a goal for the Panthers. Kyle Murray added an assist. Ross Grass blocked seven of 17 shots.

Jay Williams netted a goal for Fort Fairfield on an assist from Travis Noyes. Chris Weeks stopped six of 15 shots.
