These blocks are placed in a dish in the MIRA-COOL device. Air is blown over the dish-ice assembly, thus cooling the air. Ten pounds of melting ice will produce less than 1,500 Btu of cooling. A typical room air conditioner will produce from 6,000 to 10,000 Btu of cooling each hour. Not only will the MIRA-COOL produce trivial amounts of cooling, but the next round of making ice in your refrigerator will put more heat into the building than was removed by the cooling effect of the MIRA-COOL. The MIRA-COOL is a net loser.
