MONTICELLO – Stuart Leigh Lenentine, 86, passed away Feb. 27, 2010, at a local health care facility. He was born Dec. 15, 1923, in Houlton, son of Burton and Thelma (Rush) Lenentine. Stuart attended Monticello schools and was a potato farmer all of his life on his family farm on the Monticello West Road. He was a volunteer firefighter in Monticello for more than 25 years, and was a member of Monticello Fish and Game Club, Monticello Senior Citizens and Meduxnekeag Ramblers Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed snowmobiling, trout fishing, eating good food, especially Shirley’s cooking, and good times with family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Lynds Lenentine of Houlton; his daughter, Sandra Roy and her husband, Thom, of Fremont, N.H.; and sons, Wayne and his wife, Jane, of Houlton, Kim and his fiancee, Gidget Noyes, of Houlton and Kevin and his wife, Sherry, of Monticello. He leaves five grandchildren, Zena Roy Bilausky, Elka Roy, Lisa Anderson, Rebecca Lenentine and Joshua Stuart Lenentine; one great-grandson, Keenan Bilausky; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Everett Lenentine; and a sister, Lillian Brewer. The family expresses sincere gratitude to Madigan Nursing Home for the excellent care given to our father. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Dunn Funeral Home, where friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of service. All are invited to a reception at Houlton American Legion after the service. Spring interment will be at Monticello Jewell Cemetery.
