BUCKSPORT and SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Arthur Morgan Lyle, 45, went to be with our Lord Feb. 26, 2010, with his brother and sister at his side. He was born Sept. 23, 1964, in Fort Bragg, N.C. After graduation he followed his parent’s footsteps and entered the U.S. Army, serving four years as a supply specialist. He worked several jobs, finally finding his niche at the Holiday Inn, Ellsworth, where he worked for five years, until he could longer because of his health. He is survived by his brother, Sylvester “Cap” Lyle of Bucksport; his sister, Dorrie Jacobs and her companion, Danny Jacobs, of Southwest Harbor; two nieces, Alicia Hopkins of Bass Harbor and Allison Stratton of Surry; and many cousins. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at Franklin Street United Methodist Church, Bucksport, with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Mount Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to CancerCare of Maine, 33 Whiting Hill Road, Brewer, ME 04412. Arrangements by the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
