FBI offers reward for suspect in Bangor baby’s death

BANGOR, Maine — The FBI announced Saturday that it is offering a $10,000 reward leading to the arrest of the man wanted in connection with the death of a 15-month old boy last week in Bangor.

Edgard B. Anziani, 27, was charged Thursday with murder in connection with the death of Damien Christopher Lynn at an apartment on Bald Mountain Drive in Bangor. The FBI says Anziani is “known to be violent.”

Anziani was not the boy’s father but was staying with his 22-year-old mother, who was in a local hospital when the boy was killed Tuesday.

In a press release announcing the reward, the FBI also asked for the public’s assistance in locating him. Bangor police detectives said Friday they believed he has left the state.

Anziani is described by the FBI as a citizen of the Dominican Republic and a permanent resident of the U.S. His last known address is in Lawrence, Mass. He is described as a 6’1″ inch tall, weighing 175 pounds.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the FBI in Boston at 617-742-5533 or their local police department.
