SUMMERFIELD, Fla., and BANGOR – Rudolph G. LeBlanc, 74, died Feb. 19, 2010, at a health care facility in Summerfield, Fla. He was born Nov. 5, 1935, in Old Town, the son of Leonce and Francis (St. Peter) LeBlanc. Rudolph graduated from John Bapst High School, Class of 1952. He retired as a senior master sergeant with the Maine Air National Guard after having served 34 years. After his retirement from the Maine Air National Guard he worked for Dead River, Community Health and Counseling, and Fleet Mortgage. In 2001 he moved to a retirement community in Summerfield, Fla., where he was active in the following clubs: cribbage, bocce ball, bowling, trivia, computer center and Starlight Dance Club. Rudy was an avid, lifelong Red Sox fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Theoline (Roy) LeBlanc of Summerfield, Fla.; sons, John LeBlanc and wife, Heidi, of Bangor and Paul LeBlanc and wife, Cathy Coston, of Mendon, Mass.; grandchildren, Kate and Seth Freudenberger of Bangor, Nick LeBlanc of Bridgewater, Mass., and Stephen Coston of Bar Harbor; brothers, Virgil LeBlanc and wife, Janet, of Summerfield, Fla., and Michael LeBlanc and wife, Sherry, of Randolph; a sister, Faith Delaney and husband, Richard, of Veazie; many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a niece, Michelle LeBlanc. Friends may gather with the family 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a service of remembrance with military honors will be held 3 p.m. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at Bangor Motor Inn, 713 Hogan Road, Bangor, after the service.
