LINCOLN, Maine — Trucks and other heavy vehicles are warned to stay off 13 town roads or face fines as the unseasonably warm weather makes the roads prone to damage, Town Manager Lisa Goodwin said.

Public Works Director David Lloyd posted the roads over the last two weeks to prevent damage. With temperatures reaching close to 40 degrees and the roads prone to washouts or muddy conditions, the ban is necessary, Lloyd said.

The roads posted are: Mohawk, Station, Town Farm, Sweet, Bagley Mountain, Curtis Farm, Phinney Farm, Stanhope Mill, Half Township, Folsom Pond, Center Pond and Frost Street.
