LEVANT – Margie T. (Towle) Randall, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010. She was born Nov. 15, 1921, in Pittsfield, the daughter of Howard and Lena (Emery) Towle. Margie grew up in Pittsfield and graduated from Newport High School. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Hussey in Old Town, a cook for Caravel Middle School, Carmel, and operated Vantel Dental Lab alongside her husband for 37 years. Margie loved entertaining friends and was a member of South Levant Baptist Church for almost 50 years. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be sadly missed by all of her friends who she loved and who greatly loved her. Margie is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd Randall; daughter, Linda Applebee and her husband, Jimmy, of Levant; grandchildren, Deborah, Rick, David, Terry, Michael, Steven, Jeffrey, Thomas and Randal; 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Randall; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Kathy Randall; son, Peter Randall; sister, Marhon Brooks; and brothers, Wendell Towle and John Towle. Margie’s family thanks the staff at Ross Manor and all the home health nurses for all their care and support. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at South Levant Baptist Church, 784 Horseback Road, Levant, with Pastor Philip Bean and Pastor Arnold Schnell officiating. Friends may call 1 p.m. until time of service Saturday. After the service, the family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshment at the church. Interment will be at Levant Cemetery and will be announced in the spring.
