DOVER-FOXCROFT and CHARLESTON – Theresa M. Walton, 78, wife of the late Chester H. Walton, died peacefully Feb. 23, 2010, at her daughter’s home in Charleston, where she had resided for the past few years. She was born May 12, 1931, in Caribou, the daughter of John and Margaret (Levesque) Longlais. Mrs. Walton had lived in Dover-Foxcroft most of her life where she raised her seven children. She had volunteered as a driver for Project Ride for many years. She is survived by four daughters, Linda Richards of Bangor, Bonnie Holbrook and her husband, Morris, of Corinna, Roxanne Ewer and her husband, Roger, of Charleston and Denine Walton and her companion, Mike, of St. Albans; three sons, Duane Walton and his wife, Melinda, of Carmel, Rick Walton and his wife, Mary, of Sangerville and Scott Walton of Dover-Foxcroft; a brother, Lucien Longlais of Limestone; two special nieces, Arlene of Scarborough and Betty of Limestone; and a cousin, Peter Longlais of Caribou. She also leaves 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by special friends, Evelyn and Ansel Preble of Willimantic, Carroll and Carrie Jones of Parkman and Blanch St. Peter of Caribou. Friends are invited to call 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Pastor Robert Young officiating. Friends and family are invited to share fellowship and remembrances after the service at the Ewer’s home in Charleston.
