MILLINOCKET – Lynda (McLean) Macalino, 67, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, after a long illness. She was born Oct. 27, 1942, daughter of Edna (Plourd) McLean and Carleton McLean. Lynda was president of local Chapter 2652 of AARP for four years. She was president of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 4154 for two years and secretary of the same organization for 20 years. She was a member of Donald V. Henry Auxiliary No. 80. Lynda is survived by her two children, Debra Ackley and her husband, Wayne, of Lisbon and Scott Macalino and his wife, Maria, of Lincoln. She also leaves behind three beloved granddaughters, Kristen Ackley, Desiree Macalino and Danielle Macalino; two brothers, Donald McLean of Freeport and Stephen McLean and his partner, Harry Bilder, of Downingtown, Pa.; sister, Mitzy Cattel and her husband, Charles, of Wethersfield, Conn.; and her nieces and nephews, Billie Sullivan, DJ McLean, Whitney McLean, Adam Cattel and Marissa Cattel. She was predeceased her husband, Bernard “Larry” Macalino; and her parents. At her request, there will be no services.
