Maine basketball tourney airing set

PORTLAND, Maine — It’s Maine high school basketball tournament time, and television coverage from the three playoff sites is set.

Time Warner Cable and the Maine Public Broadcasting Network are teaming up once again to show live games from the Bangor Auditorium, Augusta Civic Center and Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland.

A total of 48 games in the Maine Principals’ Association’s tournament will air starting Wednesday and continue on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and again Friday, Feb. 26. The broadcasts will conclude Saturday, Feb. 27, with the state Class A, C and D championship games.
