DOVER-FOXCROFT – Ethel Harvey, 85, wife of the late Charles L. Harvey, died Feb. 12, 2010, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born Feb. 22, 1924, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Stephen and Beulah (Green) Pembroke. Ethel worked for many years at Dexter Shoe Co. and at a local unemployment office. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed spending time at McDonald’s with her coffee buddies. She is survived by a son, Stephen C. and his wife, Margaret, of Old Orchard Beach; a sister, Muriel Small of Dover-Foxcroft; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Ethel will be fondly remembered by many friends and countless adopted families. She was predeceased by four brothers and a sister. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Thayer Parkway Community Center with Pastor Shaun Darrah officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot at Dover Cemetery.
