DOVER-FOXCROFT – Evelyn H. Taylor, 81, passed away Feb. 11, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born Feb. 18, 1928, the daughter of Richard A. and Catherine M. (Rolfe) Hoxie. Evelyn attended Milo schools and was employed for many years at Mayo Regional Hospital until her retirement in 1997. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and crocheting. Evelyn is survived by three daughters, Linda Brown and her husband, Simon, of Corinth, Marcia Fair of Sebec, and Brenda Johnson and her husband, Randall, of Dover-Foxcroft; a son, Scott Taylor and his wife, Teresa, of Dover-Foxcroft; and 10 grandchildren, Kevin and Carole Brown and their children, Karl, Kendra and Kari, Denise and Michael Trafton and their children, Renee, Rachel and Roberta, Danielle and Glenn Burgoyne and their son, Benjamin, Kyle Fair, Kasey Fair, Veronica and Dr. Joshua Iannetta and their children, Carley and Dante, Branden Johnson, Ryan and Megan Taylor and their son, Beckett, Andrea Taylor and fiance, Matthew Murray, and Megan Taylor. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Rhoda of Milo; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and four sisters. Friends are invited to call 1:30-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. A graveside service will be in the family lot at Dover Cemetery in the spring.
