BANGOR – Herbert Dana “Tom” Walton, 73, died Feb. 4, 2010, at a local health care facility, after a lengthy illness. He was born June 19, 1936, in Greenbush, the son of Dana Evan Walton and Katherine (Getchell) Walton Clark. He was a graduate of Bangor High School, where he was a drummer in the high school band. He served for 10 years in the U.S. Army. He was a computer operator having last worked for Bangor & Aroostook Railroad, Hermon. Tom was a member of Pilgrim Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Bangor, where he had served as a deacon, church treasurer and Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed cooking, was an avid reader and student of history, and an amateur artist specializing in landscapes. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Robert McGlauflin and their sons, David and George McGlauflin; stepsister, Carolyn Clark, all of Bangor; several cousins, a niece and nephews. He was predeceased by his father; his mother; and his stepfather, Myron H. Clark. Those who wish to remember Tom in a special way may contribute in his memory to Eastern Area Agency, 450 Essex St., Bangor, and designating the gift for the Meals for Me program.
