ORRINGTON and INDIAN ISLAND – Christine A. Pillsbury, 53, died Feb. 4, 2010, at a Bangor health care facility after a long illness. She was born April 10, 1956, a daughter of Paul Sr. and Alberta (Bear) Francis. Christine was employed at Brewer Rehabilitation for several years as a certified nurse’s aide. She was a very caring and compassionate woman with a huge, giving and loving heart. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and zest for life. She enjoyed cooking, cookouts and family gatherings, walking and hiking. She loved her family and was dedicated and devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, John Pillsbury Sr. of Orrington; three daughters, Patti, Melissa and Renee; sons, Michael and John Jr.; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Anthony, Issac, Malik, Roza, Bella and Jonathan; brothers, Paul Jr., Douglas Sr. and Patrick Francis Sr., sisters, Barbara Francis and Diane Louzon; her niece, Sonya; many other family members and loved ones. She was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Eloise Francis. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Indian Island.
