RED BEACH – Marion Josephine Chisholm, 90, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Eastport Memorial Nursing Home. Marion was born May 10, 1919, in St. John, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Richard and Lena (Coholan) Kyle. She attended Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, and enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles and following the sports activities of her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Chisholm; three sisters, Helen, Joyce and Pauline; and a brother, Richard. Surviving are her three children, Richard Chisholm of Red Beach, Sandra Pulk and her husband, William, of Robbinston, and Bonnie Lyons and her husband, Robert, of Red Beach; two brothers, John Kyle of Virginia and George Kyle of South Portland; six grandchildren, Jill Clark and her husband, Thomas, of Woodstock, New Brunswick, William Pulk Jr. and his wife, Rene, of Red Beach, Penny Johnson and her husband, Gerry, of Robbinston, Robert Lyons Jr. and his wife, Rhonda, of Robbinston, Tobbie Ackley and her husband, Jason, of Perry, and Brent Lyons and Keri Barnard of Red Beach; 14 great-grandchildren, Thomas and Ava Clark, Alyssa, Brittany, Christopher and Logan Pulk, George “Buddy” Day and his wife, Kristen, Ryan and Kyle Johnson, Robert Lyons III, Kersti and Tyler Ackley, Shawn Lyons and Rayna Barnard; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Bessie Mingo; and the staff at Eastport Memorial Nursing Home, where she called home for the last four years. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, where a celebration of Marion’s life will be noon Sunday. Burial will be afterward at Red Beach Cemetery. Donations in Marion’s memory may be made to Calais Athletic Boosters Club, care of Calais High School.
