RINETTE (DIONNE) DESCHAINE

FORT KENT – Rinette (Dionne) Deschaine, 78, died Feb. 1, 2010, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born in Fort Kent, the daughter of Omer and Mabel (Pelletier) Dionne. Rinette was a past president of the Ladies of St. Ann and member of Fort Kent Columbiettes. Rinette was a foster parent for more than 50 years. She worked for Home Care, VNA – Visiting Nurses Association and ACAP – Aroostook County Action Program. She also volunteered at the Good Shepherd Shop and also sang in the Fort Kent church choir. She will be dearly missed by the family and friends. She is survived by her children, Mary Jane Dubois and her husband, Tom, of Millinocket, Janice Dionne of Clair, New Brunswick, Jean Alice Bouchard and her husband, Joel, of Connors, New Brunswick, Mike Deschaine and his wife, Connie, of Fort Kent, Myra Raymond and her husband, Bert, of Fort Kent, Ann Marie Deschaine of Fort Kent, Elaine Labbe and her husband, Ricky, of Wallagrass, Matthew Harper of Portland, and Adam Harper, U.S. Army, stationed in Germany; sisters, Dora Mae Voisine of Chicopee, Mass., and Dora Jean Michaud of Fort Kent; brothers, Nelson Dionne and Joseph R. Dionne, both of Westfield, Mass.; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joyime Deschaine, in 2006; sister, Joella Deprey; and a son-in-law, Charles Dionne. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, and 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, until time of services at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring interment will be May 18 at the parish cemetery.
