Snow keeps falling in N. Maine

CARIBOU, Maine — Some parts of northern Maine could get a total of 20 inches of snow in the storm sweeping across the upper edge of the state.

The weather service has a winter storm warning in effect in far northern areas including Madawaska and Fort Kent, where additional accumulations could nudge storm totals to 10 to 20 inches.

Lighter amounts also fell in western Maine’s mountains, which got 1 to 3 inches.

Parts of Washington county got significant accumulations, including Topsfield, which reported 8 inches of snow.
