2 men indicted in 3 robberies

BANGOR, Maine — Two men were indicted Monday by the Penobscot County grand jury for three September robberies.

Alex Gerald, 21, of Fairfield was indicted on two counts of robbery for incidents at Sun Tan City in Old Town on Sept. 22 and Dunkin’ Donuts on Wilson Street in Brewer on Sept. 23.

Gerald confessed to both robberies, according to court documents. He told police he needed money to feed his oxycodone addiction.

He remained Monday at the Penobscot County Jail unable to make bail set at $10,000 cash or $50,000 surety.

In an unrelated incident, Nicholas Wheaton, 21, of Standish was indicted for robbery and stealing drugs.

Wheaton was arrested Sept. 11 for allegedly robbing the Rite Aid in Millinocket of drugs.

He was released Sept. 22 on bail from the Penobscot County Jail, according to jail personnel. More information about Wheaton’s bail was not available late Monday.

Sean P. Chaput, 21, Bangor, aggravated assault.

Daniel Desousa, 33, Bangor, aggravated assault; criminal mischief.

Erica Dow, 28, Bangor, unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs.

Andrew G. Dwyer, 42, Presque Isle, failure to appear in court.

Tabitha Fay, 21, Brownville, burglary; theft by unauthorized taking.

Antonio J. Gonzalez, 18, Bronx, N.Y., violation of condition of release.

James Grant, 50, Corinth, operating motor vehicle after license revocation.
