The Associated Press

ALFRED, Maine — A Wells, Maine, woman has pleaded guilty to charges that she killed her husband by setting him fire while he slept.

Kimberly Spampinato had originally pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and arson in the Jan. 17 death of her husband, Christopher Spampinato. He died nine days after suffering severe burns to more than 85 percent of his body.
