ACADIA NATIONAL PARK — Entrance fees will be waived at Acadia National Park three weekends this summer as part of the National Park Service’s effort to encourage more Americans to visit national parks.

Acadia, located on Mount Desert Island near Bar Harbor, is one of 391 national parks in 49 states.

Nearly 150 of the national parks and historic sites that normally charge entry fees instead will be free during the weekends of June 20-21, July 18-19 and Aug. 15-16.
